Shamanism Training - the Fundamentals of the Shamanic Journey for Healing

If you are interested in taking a basic shamanism training course, here are some things you want to make sure you will learn and experience before signing up for one.

What will be covered in the Shamanism Course?

Will you be introduced to the near-universal methods and techniques used by indigenous Shamans and modern practitioners for entering non-ordinary reality to gain knowledge for problem solving and healing.

Will you be initiated into the classic shamanic journey experience, used by shamans for tens of thousands of years to explore the “other” universe of non-ordinary reality?

Will you learn various methods and techniques for achieving the altered state of consciousness including drumming and rattling.

Will your dormant spiritual abilities and connections with nature be awakened?

Will you have the opportunity to share your discoveries and journey experiences with other participants.

Will you be introduced to a divination technique?

Will you be afforded the opportunity to discover and connect with your own spiritual guides the classic step in all shamanic practice?

Will you discover how to apply this practice in your daily life to heal yourself, others, and the world around you?

What about the instructor:

Who is your instructor?

How were they trained?

How much experience do they have?

Typically you will be asked to bring:

- A rattle and or drum if you have them,

- A rough surfaced rock at least the size of your fist but no larger than a grapefruit,

- Warm socks,

- A bandana or eyeshade,

- A cushion to sit on,

- A blanket,

- A pen and notebook or journal to take notes and record your journey experiences,

- Your imagination and sense of wonder.

- Comfortable clothing, as you will be sitting and lying on the floor for many of the exercises. It is advisable to dress in layers so you can adjust to conditions.
